Peloton Bike Original & Plus Accessories: Are They Worth It?

The Peloton revolution took the world by storm. When the pandemic hit, everyone was forced to stay indoors. Being fit and healthy became more crucial than ever. When isolation is the norm, it was interaction, albeit online, with other people with similar interests and the highly engaging workout classes that catapulted the Peloton community to what it is today.

That said, the Peloton experience is not cheap. The Bike Ultimate Package, which comes with Peloton accessories, is priced at $1,825. The Bike+ Ultimate Package costs a whopping $2875, accessories included. There are cheaper options available. The Bike Basic and Bike+ Basic packages are priced at $1445 and $2495 respectively. These do not have accessories included though.

What Peloton Accessories Do You Need?

It depends on your budget and the workout you want to do. If budget isn’t an issue and you want the full Peloton experience, might as well go for the Ultimate package. If you want to get the most bang for your buck, we suggest going for the Bike Starter package. It comes with a pair of Peloton Shoes, 1 set of Light Weights, and the Bike Mat. These Peloton accessories are worth it, in our opinion.

If you only prefer to own the machine, provided that you have Peloton-compatible shoes, the Basic package is enough. You can even make use of the $100 Off if you use a friend’s referral code when buying the Pelo. Then, buy the accessories separately. A lot of  accessories that are compatible with Peloton can be purchased online. Amazon is overflowing with workout essentials. Among the accessories that come in the more expensive Peloton packages, you can do away with the water bottle, heart rate monitor, and even the dumbbells.

Ask yourself, how often will you use the Pelo? Which workout classes interest you? Do you really need that water bottle? Are there more affordable add-ons that can enhance your Peloton workout? Can you return the Peloton shoes if they don't fit you? Or is it more economical to buy pedal converters?

So, are all Peloton accessories worth it? You be the judge of that. After all, to each their own.
